A bit of advertising:

There are still a few seats left at the weekend tablet weaving workshop hosted
by the Butler County Spinners and Weavers Guild, March 21-22.

I’ll be teaching a day of general tablet weaving – equipment, setup, following patterns, drafting simple patterns – with an emphasis on understanding how it all works. The second day will most likely be two-hole tablet weaving, focusing on interesting effects and patterns. I think, anyway: I haven’t finalized the plan for day 2 yet.

If you are interested, you can contact the Guild at the above link. (Any blog-readers going to be there?)

Welcome!

I’ve been doing stuff with string for quite some time, and describing it to others online since 1996 or so at Phiala’s String Page.

I also do some science and write some fiction.

I’m Phiala most places on the internet.
