This happens every year: end-of-year hell. Last year the powers that be moved the end of the year from, well, the end of the year to the end of the fiscal year, which is different. I like this system better, since now crunch time doesn’t come during the holidays, but it’s still crunchy.
You mean all those things I said a year ago that I’d get done in 2009 actually have to be done? By Wednesday??? It’s never a surprise, and yet things always get done at the last minute.
This year I was good and organized and efficient, and I still got slammed. But it will all be over at close-of-business tomorrow.
Until then, seen around Amsterdam:

That’s amazing! And beautiful! Thanks for sharing with us.
What ARE those red-and-green things that are white with black dots inside? I don’t recognize them at all.
Great pictures, Phiala. I think I remember that stamp shop (unless the sign is common?).
Lovely – makes me want to go back.
(Chris – they’re Dragon Fruit (Pitaya). They taste much less exciting than they look)
